About Us

Jonathan and Louisa Bisson are the owners of Brook House, a business specialising in upholstered furniture.

Jonathan established the company in 1995, initially operating as an interiors shop located in Eton.  In 2000, the business relocated to Reading Road in Henley-on-Thames and expanded its offerings to include a wider range of upholstered furniture.

 In 2026, they decided to close their high street store to dedicate more time to personal interests. They have since opened a new sofa studio in a beautifully converted medieval barn situated in Nuffield , a village in the picturesque Chiltern Hills of Oxfordshire. 

All sofas at Brook House are made to order in the UK, employing traditional techniques in family-run upholstery businesses. Each piece is fully customisable to meet individual preferences. 

The studio operates on an appointment-only basis for a personalised experience.
